It's the beginning of a new month as well as a new chapter for Beaver Creek! We've begun so many new plants and projects, and have planned so many more new things for this year. We have already talked about our start in the hemp industry and are still so excited to get the ball rolling on hemp products for you all! In fact, we are taking suggestions right now for products YOU want to see! So, feel free to fill out a contact form on the Contact page on our website, here with your input!
We’ve been spending a lot of time weeding, organizing, and working on infrastructure these past couple of weeks. Our walk-in is finished being epoxied, before we only had a concrete floor. Now things will be easier to clean, and more sanitary. We have also continued work on our additional rooms. We have added an addition to our processing room that we will be splitting into a freezer, a closet, and our meat processing area. This will help keep things clean, organized, and streamlined.
Additionally, we are pumped that our greenhouse is STACKED with plants right now. I mean we have more plants than surface area, if that's even possible! This whole year we intend to bring an abundance of fresh and delicious produce to our pop-up market. That's right, we have decided to make the market year round, every Saturday from 10am to 2pm. Recently we've been serving home cooked meals, available for pickup as well, so come see us and get what you need!
We will be executing very easy to follow COVID compliant rules:
6ft of space between you and the person behind/ in front of you
We ask you don’t pick up something unless you intend to buy it
Everything is harvested and packaged with gloves and care
Pick up orders for produce, and other items, is available (day of orders are honored, please give us 30 - 45 minutes to prepare)
Dogs are welcome; however, please keep them on a leash!
Although we have been experiencing a lot of rainy weather as of late, we are still planting as much as we can whenever we can. This last week alone we planted many more varieties and rows of spring onions, collards, peppers, corn, tomatoes, a few different herbs, and so much more!
Not only are we expecting a new batch of our Svata Hora chickens, but we are expecting a whole flock of turkeys to be hatching soon as well! Our incubator is old school, but, hey, it gets the job done! We have lots of chicks right now, and so man more on the way. Look forward to lots of posts about our little ones!
We’ve planted a few new plants. You can all look forward to some delicious squash, zucchini, cucumbers, and of course our very popular greens. This week will be planting tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, and some herbs. Get ready for some delicious flavors!
